Music is what binds the Vyas family together. On the 10th anniversary of Pandit CR Vyas, his son santoor player Satish Vyas is organising a concert at Fine Arts Society, Chembur, from January 10-11.
Vyas tells CS, "This event is a very emotional one for me, because my parents are no more. My father Pandit CR Vyas always told us to lead a simple life.
He never wanted us to be a part of a rat race, as it would harm our music. It is very hard to emulate his ideals in today's competitive life, but as I am growing older, I am trying to follow his principles." Satish, it's never too late to start.
