Bipasha Basu calls herself a true blue Bengali. No wonder that as Kolkata and the rest of the country is gearing up to celebrate Durga Puja, Bips is heading to her hometown. Last year, due to her professional commitments, the actress gave Kolkata a miss. This year however, she wants to make sure that she makes it home in time.
Sources say that Bips will be flying off early tomorrow morning and will be back on Tuesday. In the meantime, she'll be visiting Kalighat in South Kolkata to offer her prayers.u00a0Along with the pilgrimage to the holy temple, Bipasha will be part of her family's annual Durga Puja celebrations too. "Bipasha's main aim behind going to Kolkata is to be present for Durga Puja as it's her favourite time of the year. She has fond memories of Navratri since her childhood was spent in the city," a source close to her says.
While speaking to us, Bips sounds both nostalgic as well as thrilled to be going back to her hometown. "I will spend Saptami and Ashtami with my dear ones. My mother is delighted whenever I'm visiting home for pujo. u00a0I'm looking forward to the festivity and I sincerely hope that I get time to sit in the pandal and watch the crowds like I used to in my younger days," adds the actress. On reaching Mumbai, Bips will resume shooting for her upcoming film opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.u00a0
