If the style statements of rock and pop musicians fascinate you, head to Hard Rock Cafe for a dose of nostalgia

When Britney Spears appeared in her music video You drive me crazy wearing a pink waitress outfit, teen girls from across the world wanted to emulate her dressing style. And now, that very same outfit is on display at the Hard Rock Café in Worli, along with 50 years of rock and pop fashion, as part of their ‘Treasures of Hard Rock' travelling memorabilia exhibit tour. "We have spent nearly two years scouring our 77,000 piece collection to pull together this exclusive music memorabilia," says Jeff Nolan, Hard Rock historian and tour curator.

The Rolling Stones member's tan Western coat and Lady Gaga's clock dress are among the memorabilia up for viewing

So what are some of those items? Johnny Cash's signature all-black suit which perfectly represents his legacy as the ‘Man In Black', a handwritten letter from Mick Jagger to a fan and a jacket worn by his Rolling Stones bandmate, Ron Wood for his 60th birthday party in 2007 and Lady Gaga-Addams Family-inspired dress designed by Belgian designer Toon Geboers among others.

"Rock ‘n' roll fashion has come a long way in the half-century since Elvis first stepped up to the microphone to Britney Spears who has influenced revival of teen pop fashion in late 1990s," says Nolan who believes that it will be a treat for music lovers to get this rare glimpse into entertainment history. "It's an opportunity to get close to some of the most iconic personal items from music's renowned performers," he says.
