Jacqueline Fernandez knows it's important to learn proper Hindi to succeed in B-town. And she understands it's needed in daily life too.
She tells CS, "When I first came to Mumbai, I had zero knowledge of the language. So, when I was going to my hotel in a cab, there was heavy traffic enroute.
The driver kept complaining about the congestion in Hindi assuming that I was familiar with the lingo. Now, one of the few phrases I knew in Hindi was 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and uttered it.
Needless to say, the driver was somewhat taken aback and didn't say anything after that. Now, that I know the exact meaning of that phrase, I have a hearty laugh thinking how ignorant I was."
