I said yes and then completely forgot about it.

The night before the exam, I came home late from a drama rehearsal and found my mom up and waiting for me to come home so that she could remind me about the exam in the morning.

I woke up miserable the next day and grudgingly appeared for the exam. Needless to say, I failed.
