We all know he's an adrenaline junkie but actor Kunal Kapoor is pretty passionate about reading as well. He has a well-stacked bookshelf at home that has a variety of books ranging from crime, horror, classics, spiritual books and so on. In a short interview, he tells CS about his literary tastes:
Crazy about crime
I love reading. On days, when I am free I can finish one book in a day. Otherwise, you will find me reading two books simultaneously. My reading depends on my mood. I love crime stories, graphic novels, science fiction, classics etc. You can say that crime is my favourite as I read a lot of books in that genre. Recently, I read What's So Funny by Donald Westlake and Black House by Stephen King.
Writer's block
Amongst writers, I am a great fan of South American author Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The manner in which he depicts society and humanity at large is very gripping. I love his novels One Hundred Years Of Solitude and Love In The Time Of Cholera. I also like to read Murakami's books.u00a0
Always Anna
The character from literature I would like to romance would be Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. When you read a book you visualise a character. Going by that, I think that Anna would have been a very beautiful woman. There was a trait in Anna to love with a lot of passion and she expected people to love her with equal passion. I find that very fascinating.
