After the off-shoulder and daredevil backs, it's now time for the tubes. Yes, even with the slight nip in the air, celebrities around town have been flaunting their smooth creamy shoulders in chic tube tops or dresses. Fashion designer Neeta Lulla lets us in on the secret. "A tube top or dress gives an elegant feel and looks extremely nice and could be worn to show off good shoulders," explains Neeta.
The season's trends are going the 80s way with a bit of innovation. A-line and flowing tube dresses that give a breezy, airy feel are in demand. "And the neckline that suits these silhouettes is tubes or halters. In fact, cylindrical tube dresses are very popular. You can also co-ordinate them with singlets, halter or bikini top for a layered look," suggests Neeta. According to her, tube tops and dresses work magic for a woman heavy on the top, as it camouflages the curves really well.
As a matter of fact, if you want to be experimental, this item of clothing gives you complete freedom. It is one of best designs to hide figure flaws. Heavy girls should opt for an A-line tube dress, while small girls should be seen in tubular forms. But for angular girls, voluminous tube tops and dresses will work wonders. "In fact, tube dresses and tops are my all time favourite because they are so timeless. You can wear a pant beneath or team a short tube dress with leggings. I've once teamed a tube dress with churidaar and dupatta, it looks fabulous," says fashion designer Krishna Mehta.
And if you love accessories, a chunky neckpiece will help draw eyes to your fabulous shoulder line. So ladies, step out in your tubes and get all eyes on you!
