Perfect plan
I had actually planned for a month in Ladak, but could not manage to take out that much time from my schedule. So I traded it with a quick, shorter holiday to Paris.

And though I went there by myself for six days, Yamini (my wife) was there on some work, so it made for a perfect opportunity to spend some time together in the romantic city. Then I also had friends visiting and spending a day here and there with me.

Touristy fun
I had a blast taking long walks through the innumerable roads in the city. Paris surprises you at every corner. And every evening, I'd end up spending my time sipping wine on the banks of the Seine behind the Notre Dame. I even visited the chapels, the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre; it's a must see if you ever go to Paris.

Parisian delight
The food can be a little bland for the Indian palette. But if you are ready to experiment with new tastes, then there's opportunity for fantastic subtle surprises. And the memorabilia available is fabulous. I bought Eiffel Tower keychains for friends who, I knew, would love them.
