Thanks to his first Hollywood film, Ayush Tandon is the most popular little guy in Vasai right now. And his entire neighbourhood is going gaga over the young lad's appearance in Ang Lee's latest project. And making the most of this excitement, the local politicians are planning to book screens so that people in their ward don't miss the film.
On being asked about the ongoing euphoria in the vicinity, Ayush's father Hatinder Tandon says it's but natural. "People are glad to learn that a child from Vasai is going places with a film like this. Everybody wants to be a part of the celebration. In fact, some of the politicians want to book the entire theatre to make sure everyone watches the film without fail."
So will Ayush continue acting? "He has already appeared in several ads and even in music videos including Gulzar's. However, we don't want him to neglect his studies so we're refusing even TV serials that are being offered to him. We agreed to Life of Pi because we trusted Ang Lee's vision," sums up Hatinder, who also doubles up as his son's agent. u00a0
