The flick's release date has been announced but the film has been stuck for months!
Though Zee Motion Pictures has announced that it is ready to release their Sunny Deol-Arjun Rampal starrer Fox on March 27, the film has been stuck with not a single frame being shot for months. Directed by Deepak Tijori, the thriller also stars Udita Goswami and Sagarika Ghatge.
Says a source, "Those associated with the project were taken by surprise by the release date. Suddenly Zee announced that they were ready with their film in the first quarter of 2009.
When the fact is that all this while, the makers were even avoiding queries about the next shoot schedule due to the various issues they were bogged down with."
After a stint in Goa in August last year that was marred by heavy rains, there was a bit of shoot in October in Mumbai.
Adds the source, "As the shooting is stuck, the project appears to be a dead end. First the shoot has to commence and post-production will take at least two months. There is no way the film will be completed by March 27."
Says Sanjeev Lamba of Zee Motion Pictures, "We had announced the date but nothing is final. There was a little pick-up delay on the work front but we are looking at an early summer release. Sunny and Arjun have busy schedules."u00a0 Tijori preferred not to comment.
Fox is about a criminal lawyer (Arjun Rampal) and a mysterious stranger who controls his life. As a result, the lawyer has to seek the help of a cop (Sunny Deol) in solving the mystery. Shedding his street-side action roles, Sunny will be seen in a sleek, urbane look in Fox.
