"I am so sad that I don't even feel like talking right now. He was a great actor. His style and his way of acting is cult and it will remain forever. We will never have another Shammi Kapoor in our lives," the 78-year-old director told reporters at the Ban Ganga cremation ground.
Many from Bollywood had come to pay their final respects to the actor, who had been part of successful films like "Tumsa Nahin Dekha", "Dil Deke Dekho", "Junglee", "Dil Tera Diwana", "Kashmir Ki Kali", "Janwar", "Teesri Manzil" and "An Evening in Paris", among others.
Aamir Khan, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and industrialist Anil Ambani were among the last ones to leave.
