Badshah dismisses rumours of dating Mrunal Thakur: 'Sorry to disappoint you yet again'

The past week saw celebrities from the Hindi film industry attend the different Diwali parties hosted by members of the film fraternity. Every year during these Diwali parties, new friendships and relationships are discovered by fans. At a party hosted by Shilpa Shetty, actress Mrunal Thakur and rapper Badshah caught the attention of netizens as they walked hand-in-hand sparking dating rumours.

Mrunal Thakur wore a green skirt paired with a matching crop top as she attended Shilpa Shetty's Diwali bash. Meanwhile, Badshah was seen wearing a simple, all-black traditional attire. Pictures and videos of the two posing together and leaving the party together made its way to social media.

Amid rumours, Badshah took to his social media handle to share a note, probably in response to the dating speculation. On Tuesday morning, he took to his Instagram stories and wrote, "Dear internet, sorry to disappoint you yet again but jaisa aap soch rahe hai waisa nahi hai".

Mrunal and Badhshah's outing together also led to a conversation on Reddit. A Reddit user wrote, "I no way expected them as a couple. Wow. Really wow." Another said, "Isn't he married and has a kid as well?" Badshah was earlier married to Jasmine Masih; the two got separated in 2020. They have a daughter Jessemy Grace Masih Singh who was born in January 2017.

Another user commented, 'It doesn't really look like they (Mrunal and Badshah) are dating... they were saying bye I guess. Let's hope it's not true… also wasn't there a rumour about her dating a Telugu guy?"

Earlier this month, Mrunal had denied media reports of her planning to marry a Telugu actor. On Friday, November 3, the 'Sita Ramam' actress shared a video on Instagram and dismissed her wedding rumours. While talking about the same, she said, "Hi, I am so sorry to break your hearts guys. To all the stylists, designers, friends and family, who have been calling me constantly for the past one hour when they got to know that I am getting married to some Telugu boy. I also want to know who this boy is in the first place."

On the work front, Mrunal will next be seen in the Telugu film 'Hi Nanna' alongside Nani.
