Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the knot in 2018 after dating for a couple of years. The two will be completing five years of marriage on Tuesday. Both the actors are among the busiest artists of the Hindi film industry and their work commitments keep them apart for longer durations. Recently, the actress revealed that they have to schedule spending time together sometimes.
In a new interview with Vogue India, Deepika spoke about the way she and Ranveer Singh plan their time together. "Spending time with my husband is very important to me. You have to make the time⦠I have to say both he and I make the effort. It cannot be one-sided. We have to schedule it. In our professions, where one of us can be travelling for a month at a time or sometimes he might have a late night and I have an early morning, there are times when we are in the same city but hardly get quality time with each other. It's not the quantum of time but the quality of that time we have together. We love it when it's just the two of us but we also love spending time with our families," Deepika said.
Deepika also said that she likes to spend time with Ranveer. "I love dancing. Sometimes, on the weekends, my husband and I play music in the living room and stay up dancing until 4 am showing off our playlists to each other," she said. The 'Pathaan' actress had revealed the same thing during their recent appearance on 'Koffee With Karan'.
On the chat show hosted by Karan Johar, Deepika said that marriage is work. She further added that she and Ranveer have arguments but they choose to power through it together. "Of course, it's (marriage) work. I think any marriage is work, whether you're a part of this industry or outside it. Marriage is work, and it's work every day. At the end of the day, he's had a different life, a different upbringing, and I've had a different life and upbringing, and it's about two very different people coming together. It's not to say that we don't have our fights, we don't have our arguments, we don't have our bad days. We do. But the fact that we choose to power through it together, the fact that we choose to argue with each other, the fact that we communicate, and choose to learn from that, and grow from that, and then move on, is what makes marriage beautiful," Deepika shared.

The actress then said, "If anyone is under the impression that in marriages you wake up every morning and the sun is shining, and someone says, âHey baby, your coffee is ready', that's not what marriage is. Sure, you might have certain days that are like that, but marriage is work. And the work is what makes it beautiful."
