Karan Johar was in a mood to celebrate on Friday night. As he ushered in the new year in Goa, he called near and dear ones home. Gauri Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, Manish Malhotra, Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday were among those present. Malhotra took to Instagram to share photos from the party. The filmmaker preferred not to share any pictures for obvious reasons.

Speaking about Sara Ali Khan, the actress will be next seen in Atrangi Re. Directed by Aanand L Rai, Atrangi Re is presented by T-Series, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films. The film marks the first collaboration between Akshay Kumar, Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan and is written by Himanshu Sharma. Sara was last seen in Coolie No. 1, opposite Varun Dhawan. Coolie No. 1 was David Dhawan's 45th film and his third with his son Varun. In an interview recently, David Dhawan also talked about recreating the old songs of the film.

On the other hand, Ananya Panday's upcoming films include an untitled Deepika Padukone co-starrer directed by Shakun Batra, and Puri Jagannadh's directorial with Vijay Deverakonda. The actress made her Bollywood debut last year with Student of the Year 2 and Pati Patni Aur Woh. She started her career only last year, but she has already bagged four films and several ad-films.

Karan Johar, on the professional front, has announced his latest venture, a talent management agency. This new venture is in partnership with Cornerstone. The agency aims to unify dreams and potential of each associated talent.
