Ranbir Kapoor
Uh oh! The grapevine has it that Ranbir Kapoor didn't exactly see eye to eye with stylist Iqbal Sharma for some of the key sequences of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal. Insiders tell us that the actor had a different vision for his character when it came to certain key sequences of the upcoming action drama. Not too convinced about the outfits handed to him, Ranbir opted to raid his personal collection for those crucial scenes. While most of his looks are designed by Iqbal, the actor wanted to own those key sequences with his personal touch. On the plus side, the stylist is happy to keep it collaborative as long as it doesn't interfere with the overall look of the movie.
Dia Mirza, who is also a UNEP Goodwill Ambassador, recently participated in a dialogue for the #28for28 campaign, organised by the High Commission of Canada, MASH Project Foundation, and Bal Raksha Bharat. The actor also met Steven Guilbeault, Canada's Minister of Environment and Climate Change, who is visiting India to join the G20 Environment and Climate Sustainability Ministers (ECSM) Meeting. Pointing out the direct impact of climate change, diversity loss and pollution on our youth, Dia said, "Since young people are the future of the country and drivers of solutions across industries, they must have a seat at every table and be a part of every major decision that impacts them and the planet." Deeply inspired by Minister Guilbeault, the actor added, "He is an outstanding advocate for nature protection and has been an activist his whole life."

Celina Jaitly has got the National Commission for Women (NCW) and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to initiate action against a Pakistani journalist for personal comments on social media. "For me, it was not just a fight for the open assault on my character but also an assault on my integrity, my motherhood, my family and above all, my beloved mentor Mr Feroz Khan, who is no longer in this world here to defend himself," she shared on social media. Celina, whose family has been serving the Armed Forces for generations, thanked the NCW, EAM and Government of India, saying, "They upheld the pride of every Indian woman by initiating this action."
Sunny Deol's recent comments vis-Ã -vis Pakistan haven't gone down well with some armed forces personnel. During the trailer launch of Gadar 2: The Katha Continues, the actor stated that there is love on both sides (India and Pakistan). He elaborated, "It is the political game that creates all this hatred. You will see the same in this film as well that the people don't want us to fight with each other." Reacting to the actor's statements, Shaurya Chakra awardee Brigadier Hardeep Singh Sohi tweeted, "Sunny Deol has not taken a Pakistani bullet in his chest. He has not lost colleagues to terrorism, abetted, armed, trained and sponsored by Pakistan. Let him take a bullet to his leg, and only then praise Pakistan. I will salute him. Commercial interests should not make a person blind." Wonder what the actor, who is also a parliamentarian from the Gurdaspur constituency has to say now.
Of late, there has been plenty of buzz on the web series Mirzapur being reimagined as a film by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's production house. Now, talk is that the country's first OTT series, Inside Edge, might be leaving Prime Video completely. The thriller series will have a different spin-off that the producer duo are said to be negotiating with a different platform going forward. Farhan, who is currently travelling, is yet to decide on the future of the series. However, one thing is certain, it might not be renewed for a new season in its current form.
We know that producers Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor are reuniting for a sequel to their 2018 hit, Veere Di Wedding. We now hear that they are looking at making the script entirely different from the first outing.
Sources tell us that a bunch of younger women will play pivotal roles in developing the movie as a well-rounded ensemble, akin to the international series, Sex And The City. Moreover, the Kapoor producers have not put behind the idea of creating a series out of the movie, given its popularity.
Ever since its announcement, the biopic on late actor Meena Kumari has been in the news. Kriti Sanon, who plays the lead in the film, which also marks veteran stylist Manish Malhotra's directorial debut, has already begun her prep. The actor is meeting researchers to prepare for her role of a lifetime. Interestingly, the movie's core narrative has changed. The initial idea was to show the inside life of a tragedy queen and present her story as an epic. Now, it is being reimagined as a story of a woman's strength. For the uninitiated, the legendary Meena Kumari was a big superstar of her time who called the shots. It is expected that Kriti will channel a similar energy for the biopic too.
