Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele poster out; here's all you need to know about Anshuman Jha-Zareen Khan starrer

The makers of the Zareen Khan and Anshuman Jha-starrer Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele have released a fresh new poster of the film, along with its digital release date. The Harish Vyas directorial has been screened at numerous festivals, last year including the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, and is now set to release on May 9 for all subscribers of Disney+ Hotstar VIP and Disney+ Hotstar Premium.

The film stars Anshuman as a gay man named Veer and Zareen as a lesbian woman named Mansi. The story follows their road trip from Delhi to McLeod Ganj, and how they are forced to become friends.

Zareen shared the poster on Instagram and wrote alongside, "A Boy. A Girl. A Road Trip. Sounds familiar? We promise to surprise you. Hum Bhi Akele, Tum Bhi Akele 'Coming Out' 9th May on @disneyplushotstarvip . . . Trailer drops May 3rd."

A few months ago, Zareen was quoted saying in an interview with IANS, "Honestly, the makers of this film did not approach me to do the film. I approached them and they were sceptical because they considered me a glamorous diva due to my previous films. I even auditioned for the role and I really had to convince them to give me an opportunity because the story of this film is really beautiful and I wanted to be a part of it."
