Raftaar
Raftaar is the first Indian artiste to accept cryptocurrency as a performance fee. "I've always been an admirer of blockchain technology. I've finally taken baby steps in this direction and the credit goes to my manager, Ankit Khanna," said the rapper. The show for which Raftaar accepted cryptocurrency is scheduled for next month in Canada. Cryptocurrency has already found approval among international artistes, including 50 Cent, Mariah Carey, Backstreet Boys and Lana Del Rey.
The rapper has also inked a deal with a French music distributor. The rapper's music label Kalamkaar is collaborating with Believe, a Paris-based digital music distribution and artiste services company. "It will digitally distribute and promote our work on legal download platforms. There is some stellar content coming your way from Kalamkaar in 2021," informs Raftaar.
Raftaar had recently tested Covid-19 positive. The singer was asymptomatic and was living in isolation at home. Confirming the news, Raftaar however said there could be a technical error in the testing because he felt fit and fine.
In an Instagram message written in Hindi, Raftaar stated: "Hi everybody, wanted to share a quick update with you. I had to go on Roadies. For that I had to undergo COVID tests. In the first two tests, I tested negative. But my today's test result has come positive. The BMC has instructed me to stay in isolation, so I have isolated myself at home."
