Sanam
Joining the league of artistes who've provided relief to home-bound citizens in the lockdown is the music group, Sanam, which has curated a playlist that includes recreations of retro classics.
"We have been getting messages from fans, family, and friends, telling us that our music has helped them get through the tough days. We hope this selection, Sukoon-E-Sanam, enables [those infected] to recover and find strength," frontman Sanam Puri says of the Saregama playlist, which includes recreated versions of tracks like Lag ja gale, Pehla nasha, Kora kaagaz, and Yeh raatein yeh mausam.

The band of boys, which has amassed a notable fan-following on social media owing to their recreations - rarely depending on the film industry for support - is not deterred by the mixed reactions that dabbling in old classics can invoke.
"We have always kept our intentions pure - we like to make music, share our art, and spread love. We have never focused on anything other than that. Music, like everything else, is subjective. Some people may like it, some may not. All we can do is make music that we believe in. The rest is not in our control."
