Kangana Ranaut's upcoming aviation drama, Tejas, is all set for an October 2023 release, With just a few weeks left for its much-anticipated theatrical release, the makers unveiled the first teaser on Gandhi Jayanti today. The actress plays the titular role in the film directed by Sarvesh Mewara.
The 1 minute 25 seconds teaser begins with a glimpse of Kangana Ranaut as Air Force pilot, Tejas Gill. She prepares for her flight and the fighter jet is ready for the adrenaline-pumping journey. As Tejas gears up for take-off, a dialogue says, "Zaroori nahi hai har bar baatcheet hone chahiye. Jung ke maidan mein ab jung hone chahiye. Ho gaya hai mere vatan pe ab bahut he sitam. Ab toh aakash se barish nahi aag barasni chahiye. Bharat ko chhedoge toh chhodenge nahi. (The necessity of dialogue every time is not required; now, there should be a battle on the battlefield. India/Bharat has suffered too much cruelty. Now, instead of rain, there should be fire raining from the sky. If you provoke my Bharat, we will not let you go unpunished.)"
Apart from Kangana, Tejas also stars Anshul Chauhan, Varun Mitra, Veenah Naair, Mirko Quaini, Rohed Khan, and Anuj Khurana. The official synopsis of the film reads, "Tejas is the story of the courageous female IAF officer - Tejas Gill, who's determined to safeguard the nation at all costs. It's India's first air action film which also showcases India's first indigenous fighter jet - Tejas. With the motto of âBharat Ko Chhedoge, Toh Chhodenge Nahi', the makers of Uri are set to bring another ultimate patriotic film!"

Kangana shared the teaser on Instagram. The actress' caption read, "Ready to take off for the love of our nation! Bharat ko chhedoge toh chhodenge nahi. Trailer out on Indian Air Force Day, 8th October."
Tejas was scheduled to release on October 20. Now, it has been postponed to October 27. The film is written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced By Ronnie Screwvala. Sharing the new poster, Kangana wrote on Instagram, "Jab bhi baat desh ki aayegi, woh saari hadein paar kar jaayegi!"
