Virendra Sehwag has praised Abhishek and Saiyami`s film Ghoomer
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has watched the Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher starrer Ghoomer and shared his review. The film is about the struggles of a paraplegic cricketer, played by Saiyami, who, under her coach's guidance, is trying to get back into the game. Sehwag posted a video to praise the film, and also urged the audience to go watch it with family.
Sehwag said in the video, "Kal maine Ghoomer picture dekhi. Bahut achhi lagi. Bahut dino ke baad cricket ki picture dekhne mein bahut anand aaya. Kyunki isme cricket to hai magar emotion bhi hain. Aur sportsperson ki struggle kya hoti hai iska idea bhi aa jayega aapko. Khaskar injury se wapis aana kitna alag level ka struggle hai ye pata chal jayega (I watched Ghoomer yesterday. I loved it and enjoyed watching a film on cricket after so long. But it isn't just about cricket, it has emotions, too. You will know the struggle of a sportsperson, especially how getting back in the game after an injury is a struggle of another level)."
He also praised the performances of Saiyami and Abhishek. "I usually do not respect spinners, but this role by Saiyami Kher was fantastic. It was a very difficult role, but she made me emotional. I never used to listen to the coach as well, but Abhishek Bachchan has acted so well, that you will be forced to listen to him. Watch Ghoojmer on August 18 with your family and get inspired, " Sehwag said.
His video was shared by none other than Amitabh Bachchan, who thanked Sehwag for summing up the film in simple but effective words. Amitabh wrote, "Sehwag ji .. itne sadharan shabdo mein bahut badi baat kah di. Mera aabhar aur sneh (You have said a big thing in such simple words. My gratitude and love)."
