Yaad Hai Tujhe: Singer Johnny Roars talks about making the track during Covid-19

Singer Johnny Roars has come up with a new song, titled Yaad Hai Tujhe. The song has been penned by the singer himself and has been described as a romantic rap by him. "The song is romantic, angry rap. I wrote this for my ex. I was really upset and angry because of how we parted ways and she left me in a limbo. That's when I met a music director and he suggested that it can be made into a song," says Johnny.

Yaad Hai Tujhe has been composed by Bobby Sharma and Jcee Dhanoa happens to be the video director. The track features singer and Pakistani model Mahrukh Khan and the makers have filmed it on a yacht in Dubai.

Talking about what makes this song different from the other rap songs that have been composed before, Johnny states, "There haven't been a lot of romantic rap songs. Most of them are about women in pubs and clubs. This one's a rap song, but it's romantic. It's about the frustration that a guy expresses through rap."

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, work in the entertainment industry has come to a halt. How did the singer and his team manage to film it and that too in Dubai? "Dubai was the only country that was open for shoot, with all the precautions, of course. We shot in February, and there weren't too many cases at that time. We got our tests done and stayed away from each other for two-three days to ensure there weren't any symptoms. The rest of the team wore masks and maintained distance," revealed Johnny.
