Saif Ali Khan has completed 30 years in the film industry. The actor who had a lull phase in the beginning years of his career is now one of the most versatile actors who has proved his talent with a varied number of roles. On his birthday today, we take a look at his films in the past decade

Saif Ali Khan

Race 2 (2013) 

Saif Ali Khan returned for the sequel to the hit heist film. The film revolved around Ranvir befriending a billionaire gangster, Armaan, in Turkey. However, he soon turns on him and plots revenge when he learns that his girlfriend was responsible for the death of his wife

Go Goa Gone (2013) 

A film that is said to have been a gamechanger was also produced by Saif Ali Khan. The zombie action comedy film saw Saif in a completely different look as he played a zombie hunter. The film directed by Raj and DK also stars Kunal Kemmu, Vir Das, and Anand Tiwari

Humshakals (2014) 

This multi-starrer comedy film was directed by Sajid Khan but crashed at the box office 

Considered as one of the worst films of Hindi cinema, it should have been an easily forgettable film. However, the lead actors-Saif, Riteish Deshmukh, and Ram Kapoor cross-dressing in the film is not one that will be erased from our collective memories anytime soon

Happy Ending (2015) 

Saif joined hands with Raj and DK once again after Go Goa Gone and also produced the film. The romantic comedy has a moderate rating of 5.3 on IMDb

Phantom (2015) 

Daniyal, a disgraced Indian soldier, and Nawaz, who works for an American security agency, face many trials and tribulations during a dangerous mission to kill those responsible for 26/11. The film directed by Kabir Khan stars Saif along with Katrina Kaif and is a fictional narrative in the backdrop of the 26/11 attack

Rangoon (2017) 

Directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, the film revolves around Julia, who journeys to the Indo-Burma border to perform for the troops during World War II, on the insistence of Billimoria, her lover. There, she finds herself enamoured by Jemadar Malik, a soldier. Despite a stellar cast and team, the film failed to perform at the box office

Chef (2017) 

Though the film had good music, it fell flat in writing. The film directed by Raja Krishna Menon saw some good performances by Saif Ali Khan, who plays a chef. The film tells the story of a chef, Roshan, who decides to spend time with his son, who lives with his ex-wife after he loses his job. While doing so, she suggests a business idea, which he then begins to pursue.

Kaalakaandi (2018)

An experimental black comedy film, it received mixed response. While Saif was appreciated for his performance, it failed to attract much audience

Laal Kaptaan (2019) 

Gossain, a bounty hunter, sets out on a quest to kill his archenemy, Rahmat Khan. Along the way, he meets a widow, who decides to accompany him on his revenge spree.  The film received mixed reviews from the critics, praising the performance of Khan, the direction, the visuals and the cinematography, but the plot and lack of originality received some criticism

Sacred Games (2018) 

Saif was among the first leading actors to take up a web series before it became a big hit among the audience and more and more actors opted for it

Sacred Games is an Indian neo-noir crime thriller streaming television series based on Vikram Chandra's 2006 novel of the same name. India's first Netflix original series, it was produced and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap as Phantom Films. The second season was not as well received as part 1

Tanhaji (2020)

The film which won the National Award for Best Hindi film got Saif praise for his negative role in the film headlined by Ajay Devgn. The film also starred Kajol and was directed by Om Raut

Jawaani Jaaneman (2020)

Jazz, a 40-year-old man, leads a frivolous casanova lifestyle in London. However, when Tia, a young woman claiming to be his daughter, enters his life, he decides to mend his ways. Saif Ali Khan is back to his easy breezy role which also marks the debut of Alaya F

Tandav (2021)

Tandav is a story that happens in the capital city of the world's largest democracy - DILLI (New Delhi), where it takes you inside the closed, chaotic doors of power and manipulation and uncover the darkest lanes of Indian politics

Bhoot Police (2021)

Brothers Vibhooti and Chiraunji (played by Saif and Arjun Kapoor) are assigned a seemingly ordinary case of hunting down demonic spirits in a remote village. However, they soon realise that there is nothing ordinary about this case

Bunty Aur Babli 2 (2021)

Saif replaced Abhishek Bachchan in the second part of the hit con-artist film. The retired con couple Bunty and Babli are forced to rejoin the business to thwart the attempts of a young duo that robs people with their trademark sigil and bring them to justice.

Vikram Vedha (2022)

Vikram Vedha is a Hindi-language neo-noir action thriller film written and directed by Pushkar–Gayathri. It stars Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan as the titular anti-heroes.  In the film, a police officer sets out to track down and kill a dreaded gangster. The film marks Khan and Roshan's second collaboration, 20 years after having starred together in Na Tum Jaano Na Hum

Adipurush (2023)

The much-anticipated film soon became the most dreaded film after the audience rejected the film. Saif played the role of Raavan in the film which marks his second collaboration with Tanhaji director Om Raut

Saif Ali Khan is now gearing up for his Pan-India film 'Devara' with Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. He will once again play an antagonist in the film. The film will be released in theatres on September 27
