The makers of Chhichhore hosted a special screening for celebrity friends and the entire cast of the film. From Shraddha Kapoor and family to near and dear friends of Sushant Singh Rajput and Varun Sharma, a hot of celebrities attended the special screening held in Andheri, Mumbai. In Chhichhore, Sushant Singh Rajput essays the role of Anni, a boy who doesn't have the courage to face girls, especially Maya, played by Shraddha. The other characters are Sexa and Mummy, portrayed by Varun Sharma and Tushar Pandey, respectively.

The gang, which gets separated after college, reunite years later in a hospital when one of their friends meets with an accident. Chhichhore is helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and co-produced by Fox Star Studios. It is all set to hit the screens on September 6.

Chhichhore is a fictionalised drama inspired by the true-life events of the film's director Nitesh Tiwari and has countless references to his own college days hidden in the movie's characters.

Revealing how notorious a student Varun Sharma was, a friend of his said: "Varun managed to be the blue-eyed boy of teachers covering the notorious acts that he would pull off during college days."

Varun Sharma's friend further added: "But there was this one time when a friend of ours had a lot of explicit content and he named it Varun Sharma's folder circulating the same throughout college. We all had a laugh and that's when he got the title of king in college and all these memories take us back down memory lane."

Speaking of his role in Chhichhore, Varun Sharma said: "It is so funny how life comes a full circle, now that in Chhichhore, my character demanded it and back then in college, I was made one."

The director of the movie, Nitesh Tiwari said: "I was captain of my hostel's cricket team, and also played football, volleyball, hockey and running the 4x100 meters relay. I was an extra in the basketball team too."

Shraddha Kapoor, who has back to back releases this year, shared how hectic her schedule is right now! "My body is paining a lot. It has been a physically intense year for me. I did shoot three films but 'Street Dancer' is releasing next year."

Shraddha Kapoor further added: "I feel I should get some break but now promotions of 'Saaho' have also started. I am so excited and it's a big thing. 'Saaho' is my first multi-lingual film and I am happy I got to be part of such a big film."

Sharing her experience in an interview with mid-day, Shraddha Kapoor also shared: "Working with Nitesh sir has been one of the most amazing experiences for me. The way that we got into the film, the kind of prep that you know we got into."

"I think one of the most amazing things about him is that he stands up always for what is right and that's how he is as a person, so I think that also comes into his direction which I think it's so good that he always stands by the right thing to do. So he did the same thing with our film's script, same thing towards the actors, towards everybody," Shraddha Kapoor concluded.
