Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (Disney plus): In the 32nd film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 follows the titular team after the events of Avengers: Endgame

Heartstopper Season 2 (Netflix): Based on Alice Oseman's web comic and graphic novel, Heartstopper is a heartwarming coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama. The series follows Charlie Spring, a gay schoolboy, as he navigates the complexities of love and friendship with his crush, Nick Nelson

Season 2 continues the story, delving into the gang's lives and experiences, including exams, a school trip to Paris, and the excitement of prom approaching. Streaming from August 3

The Hunt for Veerappan (Netflix): This docu-series directed by Selvamani Selvaraj chronicles the 20-year manhunt for Koose Munisamy Veerappan, a notorious poacher and bandit in India

Veerappan was involved in various criminal activities, including kidnapping politicians for ransom, murdering 184 people, poaching elephants, and smuggling sandalwood and ivory. The series depicts the relentless efforts to capture him, leading up to his eventual demise in Operation Cocoon in 2004. Streaming from August 4

Dayaa (Disney + Hotstar): Dayaa is a gripping tale about a simple freezer van driver whose life takes a dramatic turn when he discovers a lifeless body in his vehicle. 

Along with his loyal best friend, he is plunged into a whirlwind of escalating peril, facing unexpected dangers and betrayals. As they navigate through a treacherous path, their bond is tested, and they must summon courage and wit to survive the trials fate throws at them. Streaming from August 4

Dhoomam (Amazon Prime video): Dhoomam, Hombale Films' debut in Mollywood, is set for an OTT release after its theatrical run. 

The thriller centers on the kidnapping of the marketing head of a tobacco company and his wife. Directed by Kannada filmmaker Pawan Kumar, the film stars Fahadh Faasil and Aparna Balamurali, along with Vineeth and Roshan Mathew (August 4)

The First Responders Season 2 (Disney Plus Hotstar): The second season of 'The First Responders' is set to premiere 

Fans can expect exciting stories and seamless character development, building on the success of the first season. The drama promises thrilling episodes and captivating plotlines. (August 4) 

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Prime Video India): Miles Morales returns in the next chapter of the Spider-Verse saga. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Miles finds himself catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People dedicated to protecting its existence

However, conflicts arise when the heroes disagree on how to handle a new threat, challenging Miles to redefine what it truly means to be a hero and protect the people he loves most (August 08)

Justice League: Warworld (Prime Video India): In the animated movie Justice League: Warworld, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and other heroes unite to lead the resistance against the brutal gladiatorial combat in Warworld. 

Their mission is to free the entire planet from its unending violence and oppression (August 8)

Por Thozil (Sony Liv): Por Thozill, a Tamil language movie, is set for OTT release after receiving positive reviews and success at the box office.

The crime thriller revolves around the character of K. Prakash, an intellectually gifted but timid police officer, who must conquer his fears to solve a case involving a serial killer. He teams up with the hostile senior cop, SP Loganathan, as they attempt to crack the mystery together  (August 11)
