The 57-year-old actor said that he would not have played Walt Disney if the company had decided to 'sugar-coat' its founder, reported Digital Spy.
"I think it's smart of them, it would have been easy for Disney to turn it into the 'Uncle Walt' version of it all - but I think if you're going to go back you've got to give it a little bit of teeth," he said.
The Oscar-winning actor explained that he enjoys taking on projects based on true stories for the "challenge of saying we are going to tell this story that actually happened and we're going to compress it to fit into a two-hour movie". "Even though we're going to change things, we will still maintain some brand of authenticity to the story. I like not having to make up things if I don't have to," he added.u00a0
