Actor Jamie Dornan revealed that dark humour is an essential part of his next series 'The Tourist' released 18th February. The actor also emphasized that the dark humour is subtle but a key part of the show and how he managed to balance lighter moments amongst intense scenes from the series.
Jamie shared, "The way Harry and Jack write is so heightened and extreme but it's also very human, and as humans, we do constantly walk that line between stuff being very serious and stuff making us laugh. That is life, we've all gone through awful stuff and amazed ourselves at how much we laugh and find humour in the darkest of moments. So, I think they've done that very cleverly - it catches you off guard in this, because sometimes you don't want to use humour in a way that detracts or takes away from the drama of the situation, but it has to be used in a very smart way to enhance it and keep the audience on board.
The series follows the lead character Jamie Dornan waking up in an Australian hospital with no memory after his car crash. As the series further progresses, Jamie's character tries to remember his past with the clues available to him, but it raises questions on why anyone would want him dead. Featuring an ensemble cast including Shalom Brune-Franklin, Ãlafur Darri Ãlafsson, Genevieve Lemon and others.
