Bhojpuri actress Amrita Pandey aka Annapurna was found dead in her apartment in Bhagalpur in Bihar on Saturday, April 27. Reportedly, Pandey was found hanging to the ceiling fan with her saree in her home at Divya Dham apartment in the Adampura area. Her family members rushed her to the hospital nearby where she was declared dead.
Hours before her demise, Amrita Pandey wrote a cryptic note on her WhatsApp status. It read, "Do naav me savaar thi uski zindagi, humne apni naav duba ke uska safar aasaan kar diya (His life is on two boats, we made his path easier by sinking our boat)."
In 2022, Amrita tied the knot with Chandramani Jhangad who hails from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh but works in Mumbai as an animation engineer. They lived together in Mumbai and were in Bhagalpur to attend her elder sister Veena Pandey's wedding. While Chandramani returned to Mumbai after the wedding, Amrita decided to stay back for a few days. The Jogsar police station is currently investigating this high-profile case.
Reportedly, Pandey's family members have claimed that the late actress was in depression for the last couple of months.Her family said that she was stressed about her work and lack of opportunities in acting. Her family said despite her mental health issues she was quite enthusiastic about her recently released web series 'Pratishodh'.
