Celebs who left Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

Palak Sindhwani, aka Sonu Bhide, has quit the show and is currently serving the last period of her notice. The actress has confirmed in a report that her last working day on the set of TMKOC will be on September 30, 2024

Nidhi Bhanushali, who played Sonu Bhide, left the show to focus on her studies and explore other career options

Raj Anadkat, who took over the role of Tapu from Bhavya Gandhi in 2017, left the show in December 2022. While the exact reasons were not publicly detailed, Raj hinted in interviews that he wanted to explore new opportunities

Actor Kush Shah who played the role of Goli in the long-running TV show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' bid adieu to the popular show in July 2017. The actor played the characters of the beloved Goli for nearly two decades 

Monika Bhadoriya (Bawri) left due to issues related to payment delays and some personal matters. She was dissatisfied with the working environment.

In 2023, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal (who played Roshan) exited after she accused the show’s producer, Asit Kumarr Modi, of sexual harassment. She has shared her ordeal publicly, leading to an ongoing legal matter

Gurucharan left the show due to health and family issues. He was replaced by Balwinder Singh Suri. However, this wasn’t his first exit, as he had previously left the show in 2013 before returning later

Shailesh Lodha reportedly left in 2022 due to creative differences with the makers and dissatisfaction with his role's screen time. He had played the titular character for 14 years but felt that his character wasn’t evolving.

In 2020 Neha Mehta, who played Anjali Mehta for 12 years, left due to creative differences with the production team. She was replaced by Sunayana Fozdar

Bhavya Gandhi left to pursue a career in films. He had played the character of Tapu for eight years and wanted to explore other opportunities in the entertainment industry

Jheel Mehta, who played the original Sonu Bhide from the show's inception in 2008, left the show in 2012. She stepped away from acting to focus on her education. She has shared that balancing her schoolwork with the show was becoming increasingly difficult
