With a dwindling population of about 4,000 people, Mumbai's Chinese assemble every year outside Kuang Kung Temple in Dockyard to participate in festivities that include a traditional dragon dance that has been happening since 2016 as Peter Paul Liu and his family have been continuing the tradition.

Peter and his family including his wife Rose and daughter Starr, and relatives, embraced the responsibility of entertaining the onlookers as they wore the costume and went through artistic movements,

As always, there are a lot of tourists who came to witness the festivities from all over the city, as it lasted for a little more than one hour. After the performance, there were a lot of people who entered the bright red temple, as many members of the community took them through the traditions including burning candles and incense sticks, while making a wish for the future.

The temple even had Chinese members encouraged people to check their future through a unique process of shaking sticks. They also patiently explained every process for anybody and everybody who wanted to learn.

While Chinese New Year is celebrated on January 29, the celebration will continue for two weeks till February 12.
