More than four Akharas have taken a holy dip including the third lot Juna, Awahan and Agani Akharas today on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.

Sadhus of the 13 Akharas of Sanatan Dharm are taking a holy dip at Triveni Sangam. In picture, sadhus take part in a procession at the Sangam on the occasion of 'Makar Sankranti' festival, during the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Tuesday, January 14.

The Naga sadhus of the Niranjani and Anand Akharas arrived for 'Amrit Snan' at Maha Kumbh on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti.

On the first day of the Maha Kumbh Mela, the world's largest gathering, over 1.5 crore pilgrims had taken a holy dip at the Sangam.

With this, the total number of devotees who had taken dip in the Sangam has crossed the 10 million mark at the Maha Kumbh Mela, held every 12 years
