The Baklava from this sweetmeat shop is always in high demand during Navroze celebrations.
In fact, Hassan Irani, who runs the sweetmeat shop, opens it only during festival time. Preparations begin a week or two in advance, and he sells the sinful delicacy till stocks last. Iranian Sweets Palace has been around for over 100 years now, serving authentic Iranian Baklava to Parsis and Iranis living in South as well as South Central Mumbai. In fact, Irani's Baklava finds a place of pride for Navroze offerings and dinners, and are sometimes ordered all the way from the US, Canada and New Zealand.
Irani, also takes special party orders for 30 kgs and above, but he needs to be informed at least a week in advance as his iconic Baklava is prepared using nuts and dry fruits coming all the way from Iran.
