Fancy famous dishes from different places under one roof? Head to Angrezi Dhaba

You are out in a place like Dwarka (not really known for places that serve good food), and you feel like a nice dinner. What would you do? Here is what I did. Headed to the newly opened restaurant Angrezi Dhaba.

The reason? It was one of those days when I was craving for good roadside food but sadly none of them have set up their stall in Dwarka. But this was a place which promised to offer food from almost all the famous food joints. So, I thought of giving it a try and there I was.



The ambience can't be described as very elegant or romantic but it is certainly very ethnic. The place boasts of traditional architecture with comfortable seating arrangement. I liked the ambience as I was here for good food and was not out on a romantic date.

Now, I don't know whether I was looking tired, but the moment I sat down, I was offered some Jaljeera paani which was very refreshing. Now I was all set for someu00a0 food and ordered some startersu00a0-- Chicken tikka with hot mint sauce which was so good that I went for a second helping . The Murg malai tikka and Tandoori kukkad was served with very thinly sliced raw onions. The Murg malai tikka was so tender that it melted in my mouth. I had to leave some space for the main course so I controlled my urge to have some more of chicken and ordered the main course.

I opted for Lal maas, the famous Rajasthani dish, Murg gharane with fried rice and Lassi. The chicken was again outstanding and the Lal maas was so authentic that it reminded me of my time in Rajasthan. Having lassi after a hot tiring day was an experience in itself. I ended the meal with Leechi ki tehri, a sweet dish which was the result of an experiment that happened in their kitchen and the gamble paid off. It was terrific. The food reminded me of my college days. I like it.
