During customs checking at the Attari Railway Station yesterday, 11 pistols were found concealed in 11 meat cutter machines along with 22 magazines, Gurdev Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Customs said.

"A doubt arose after the machines were subjected to X-ray. They were cut by cutters and pistols were found. There were a total of 11 machines and 11 pistols were recovered," he said.

Six persons, including two women, have been arrested, he said, adding that they were all residents of Muzaffarnagar. Their interrogation is going on, Singh said.

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi had claimed in October last that Pakistan's ISI was trying to recruit disgruntled riot-affected youngsters of Muzaffarnagar to carry out its nefarious designs.

He had said that intelligence inputs have revealed that some ISI agents were in touch with riot victims.
