"The boy, a resident of the same locality, called the girl to his house when there was nobody around and sexually assaulted her. When the victim reached home, she narrated the entire incident to her mother," said API MB Suryawanshi.u00a0
The victim's mother then registered a case against the boy. Penetration was ruled out following a medical examination of the girl, he said.
The boy was detained under Section 354 (outraging modesty) of the IPC and Section 7 and 8 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSOA). The boy has been sent to a remand home in Shivaji Nagar.u00a0
