The Mumbai zonal unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) carried out midnight raid on Thursday at drug peddler Farooq Batata's house
During the raid, the anti-drug agency sleuths confiscated imported cars, drugs worth lakhs of rupees and a currency counting machine, said an NCB officer.
The NCB also recovered cash, including foreign currency. Shadab Batata, son of Farooq Batata, was detained.
Earlier, Farooq used to sell batata (potato) and hence he got the name Farooq Batata after he started doing drug business.
