Viju Khote
With rail rokos and public agitations increasing by the day, Central Railway has found a new mascot in veteran actor Viju Khote, most known for playing villain Kalia in the blockbuster hit Sholay, to spread the message of how agitations could be damaging, both for the Railways and commuters.
In a new short eight-minute film, Khote is seen pacifying an angry mob of commuters, who are about to assault a motorman due to delay in trains. "Khote has been a popular star and has good public connect. He has acted brilliantly to convey the message of non-violence and peace and offers the Railways' perspective," said an official from the CR's film unit.
The film opens with the scene of an angry mob, which is upset about a train being delayed again. They decide to protest and walk up to the motorman. Just as they prepare to beat him up, Khote enters and explains the consequences of their actions.

In the end, the film tries to convey that the Railways are making every attempt to improve commuting. CR intends to publicise the film on social media and other relevant platforms.
When contacted, Khote said, "It is an excellent film and captures the true essence of how mob mentality works. It is unfair to blame Railways for every small thing and this film conveys the message perfectly. I am proud to be a part of it."
