It was Vandana Telati (50) who discovered dentist Netra Talati's (35) body lying on the floor of her Koparkhairane clinic around 5.45 pm on Thursday. A shocked Vandana, Netra's aunt, called a doctor, who, on arrival, declared Netra dead.
Inspector Nitin Bhosale Patil said no arrests have been made so far. They said they are interrogating suspects, including Netra's compounder, who had not reported to work on the day of the murder.
Vandana visited the clinic after she was informed by Netra's father, Prakash Telati, that Netra had not returned home by 4 pm, as she normally did.
She was not responding to calls either. Netra's husband, Wilfred Maskaran, who was out of town, rushed home after learning of the murder.
The couple has a nine-year-old daughter. Prakash said Netra did not have any problems with anyone. "We don't know why or who killed her."
Compounder didn't report to work when dentist was killed (Don't put it on home page, the incident happened on thursday and was covered by all papers, put it on mumbai pages)
