While MSRDC installs CCTV cameras on Bandra-WorlI Sea Link to catch speeding drivers, traffic cops mock the idea and buy speed guns
There seems to be a difference of opinion over how to catch vehicles speeding on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link (BWSL).
While the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has installed CCTVs on the sea link to capture images of speeding vehicles, traffic police officials believe the cameras are too high to be of much help.
Watchful: Traffic police are buying speed guns that can not only detect the speed of the offending vehicle on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, but also capture the image of its number plate. |
