A 35-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh was pushed to death from a moving bus here, police said today.
The victim, identified as Arvind Kumar S Bharti, along with his friend Manu Chowdhary was on his way to Saudi for a job.
They duo took a halt here yesterday following which the incident occured in Upavan locality, police said.
The two were enjoying the picturesque Upavan lake in the afternoon when one Raju S Deolekar apprehended them after posing as a policeman and warned them not to move around in the area.

He also demanded money from them for having violated the rules. To escape the cop, the duo jumped on to a moving civic bus.
But Deolkar chased them and pushed Bharti out of the bus. Bharti died on his way to hospital after getting seriously injured in the mishap, police said.
The Vartak Nagar police have registered a case of murder and arrested the accused on a complaint by Chowdhary who has been held back for investigations.
