Prasad appointed Maha intelligence chief

Mumbai's Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) KL Prasad has been appointed State Intelligence Department (SID) chief, the Home Department said.


Mumbai's Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) KL Prasad has been appointed State Intelligence Department (SID) chief, the Home Department said.

Prasad replaces D Sivanandan, who has already taken over as the Mumbai Police Commissioner.

Additional Director-General (Anti-Naxal Operations), Pankaj Gupta has been shifted to DG office in the same rank.

Railway Police Chief AK Sharma has been promoted as Additional Director-General (Training). ST Chavan, Additional Commissioner of Police, Thane has been promoted as IG and posted in place of Sharma.
