A student with a state-run hospital committed suicide in her hostel here, police said.
Shweta Kapase hanged herself at the Nair Hospital hostel in Girgaum, South Mumbai, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone II) Sanjay Mohite said.
The 27-year-old, who hails from Nagpur, was studying for her post-graduation in physical therapy at the hospital. A suicide note was found on her but its details were not yet known.
"She was originally from Nagpur and we have found a suicide note at the site of suicide. Further investigation was on," he said.

The woman was staying with two colleagues in the hostel room and they were out when she ended her life, police said.
