The vaccination drive, which was shut for two days due to unavailability of vaccines, will resume from Monday, as fresh stock arrived on Saturday night. Since Sunday has been marked as a "holiday" by the BMC, vaccines won't be administered at public centres today. Authorities said that the stock of 85,000 doses that arrived on Saturday, will last only two days.
A civic official, requesting anonymity, said, "If we do not receive additional stock by Monday, there are chances that our drive will again be affected on Wednesday." Meanwhile, private hospitals inoculated 48,393 beneficiaries on Saturday. With this, the city crossed the mark of 60-lakh inoculations.
