Mumbai saw a significant rise in the test positivity rate (TPR) and Covid-19 fatalities on Saturday.
As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, 485 new cases were reported on Saturday, along with six deaths. The TPR was 1.18 per cent.
Mumbai's TPR dipped below 1 per cent, a first in the second wave on July 29. Four out of six deceased had comorbidities. One of the deceased was in the age group of 40-60 and five were above 60 years of age.
The city's recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 432 people recovered and were discharged on Saturday. Maharashtra's COVID-19 cases saw a marginal dip on Saturday. As per the state health department report, 3,391 cases were reported. The state also saw a significant rise in the number of deaths, with 80 fatalities being reported.

Also, 77,682 people were administered the first dose and 1,07,415 took the second dose in the city on Saturday.
