Two people were injured after a fire broke out in a building located in Ghatkopar's Sahyadri Nagar on Thursday, the officials said.
According to the civic officials, the blaze erupted at a building in Sahyadri Nagar near the Ganpati Temple in Ghatkopar. The fire was reported on the 4th floor of a multi-storey building.
The incident was reported to the civic authorities at around 1:19 pm. Following the information the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials and the officials from the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) rushed to the spot, the officials said.
According to the BMC, the fire was confined to room number 403 on the 4th floor of the building consisting of a ground floor and eleven upper floors. The fire affected the electrical wiring, electric installations, wooden furniture, and clothing items.

The officials from the Mumbai Fire Brigade swiftly responded to the incident and by 1:53 pm the blaze was fully extinguished, the officials added.
They said that two individuals sustained minor burn injuries in the incident and are in stable condition. They were shifted to a hospital for further medical treatment.
The cause of the fire is at present under investigation.
