Commuters in the newly-introduced AC local train on Monday morning reported heavy water leakage in the compartment leading to inconvenience.
"The water started dripping as we were travelling in the fast Air-Conditioned EMU local train which starts from Dombivli at 8:59 am, making the floor wet and slippery," commuter SK Partho told Mid-Day.

Partho said it happened in the fast AC vent at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) side in the first half compartment.

Commuters have already been complaining that the new AC local trains introduced two weeks ago have upset the timetable of existing AC train commuters as their trains have been abruptly replaced.
The Central Railway has been caught in a quandary because those who want to travel by AC trains and are willing to patronise them heavily, want them at a particular timing while regular commuters who are larger in number, do not want the AC train at rush hour.
What the railways tried to do is to find a middle path, but it has led to regular users getting deprived of their morning AC train.
Dombivli resident Subhash Rao started a Twitter hashtag #RestoreOurACLocal.
Central Railway divisional officials said they had alerted the Kurla Carshed where the train is maintained and will take up the matter on priority.
