On Thursday, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Mumbai was reported to be in the 'moderate' category, as per the SAMEER app, which showcases the AQI mapped by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
The data further revealed that of the total 22 stations in Mumbai, the area that reported 'poor' air quality included Sion, with AQI at 225, on October 26.
The minimum temperature in Mumbai on Thursday is likely to be 24 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is likely to settle at 35 degrees Celsius.
Mumbai's Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 149, in the 'moderate' category, around 8 am. Further Navi Mumbai and Thane too reported 'moderate' air quality with AQI at 186 and 154 respectively.

Further, the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) revealed that Borivali (East) in Mumbai is the least polluted with AQI at 94.
The data further reveals that the most prominent pollutant in Mumbai is PM2.5 and O2. While the most prominent pollutant in Thane is PM10 an O3.
The most prominent pollutant in Navi Mumbai is PM 2.5 and PM 10. While, overall Navi Mumbai's AQI stands in 'moderate' category, areas such as Sanpada, Kalamboli reported 'poor' air quality with AQI at 204, and 233 respectively.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
