A Mumbai-based doctor left her laptop in an auto-rickshaw while travelling from Chembur to her home in Thane. The Kapurbawadi traffic police managed to find the laptop within two hours and returned it to the owner on Monday night.

According to a report in the Times of India, Dr. Nikita Singh realised that she had left her laptop in the auto after she got off the vehicle. She immediately rushed to a nearby police station and lodged a missing property complaint.

Post this, Singh visited the Kapurbawadi traffic police post where police naik Nisar Tadavi helped her track the device. "We went near her house in Kolshet and with the help of the CCTV footage, we got the vehicle registration number and traced the same on our e-challan machine," Tadavi said.

After getting details of the driver, Tadavi called him to know the whereabouts of the laptop. The auto driver confirmed that the laptop was in his vehicle. Later, the driver came with the laptop and returned it to the police.
