The weather department predicted a "generally cloudy sky with possibility of light to moderate rain and thundershowers in the city and its suburbs" over the next 24 hours

The maximum temperature in the city is likely to settle at 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be recorded at 27 degrees Celsius

A high tide of about 4.24 metres was expected to hit Mumbai at 11.56 am on Monday, stated the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)

An another high tide of about 3.83 metres was expected at 11.59 pm. The civic body also said a low tide of about 1.31 metres was expected at 5.56 pm on Monday

Meanwhile, a green alert was issued on Monday by the IMD for Mumbai and adjoining Thane and Palghar districts in Maharashtra

The IMD said that light to moderate rain/thundershowers were very likely on Monday

A yellow alert was issued by the IMD for Pune, Kolhapur, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts in Maharashtra

"Thunderstorm with accompanied with lightning, heavy rainfall and gusty winds at isolated places were likely," the IMD said

The IMD has also issued a red alert for Dhule and Nandurbar districts of Maharashtra and predicted heavy rainfall and thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds at isolated places
