Followers of Dr Ambedkar gather at his residence, Rajgruha, in Hindu Colony, Dadar

Every year, lakhs of Dr Ambedkar's followers gather at Rajgruha and Chaityabhoomi (his memorial) on December 6 to pay homage on his death anniversary 

Elaborate arrangements have been made for the visitors at Chaityabhoomi, near Shivaji Park in Dadar

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police have stated that a large number of Dr. Ambedkar's followers will be visiting Chaityabhoomi until Saturday, which will affect vehicular traffic on the adjoining roads

The Mumbai City Collector on Wednesday issued an order declaring a 'dry day' on Friday

An official notification stated that local holiday has been declared for state and semi-government offices in Mumbai 

Meanwhile, authorities declared the area near Chaityabhoomi a 'no hawker' zone ahead of Mahaparinirvan Diwas to ensure smooth pedestrian movement

The Dadar West area witnesses a heavy rush of passengers daily. The Central Railway announced it will run 12 additional suburban special trains on Friday

Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) also announced that it will operate additional special buses every 15-20 minutes from Dadar Railway Station to Chaityabhoomi
