As per authorities, upgradation work began on Thursday night at Thane Station and will conclude by Sunday noon

In view of the infrastructure upgradation work, the Central Railway has undertaked a 63-hour mega block from May 30 at midnight till June 2

Earlier this week, Central Railway formally announced the cancellation of a whopping 930 local train services

Several mail-express and suburban trains will be short-terminated and short-originated from various stations such as Wadala, Dadar, Thane, Pune, Panvel, and Nashik. This adjustment helps manage train operations during the construction activities.

In response to the railway's request, BEST has announced it will run 254 extra bus services on nine routes, deploying 43 additional buses. This measure aims to provide alternative transportation options for affected passengers.

Railways have appealed to the commuters to avoid travelling in local trains if not necessary since services of long-distance trains and Mumbai local trains will be affected.
